H&A Scientific, Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets quality computing systems for scientific data acquisition, processing, and management.

H&A Scientific, Inc. has been creating programs for the laboratory since 1992. Our first products were personal computer DOS workstations for chromatography and atomic absorption, PC/Chrom and PC/Absorb, respectively. Since then we have devoted our programming resources to the Microsoft Windows™ platforms.

In 1994 we released the ADIVP-1™ (Analog-to-Digital Interface Verification Package), a complete package that verifies the linearity, reproducibility, and accuracy of analog-to-digital (A/D) interfaces. The hardware consists of an EPROM chip and a high resolution, NIST traceable, digital-to-analog converter that outputs a predefined waveform to the A/D interface under study. The software is a Windows™ program that generates printed reports outlining and detailing the results of the investigation.

In 1996 we released PC/Chrom for Windows™. PC/Chrom is a complete package that interfaces your GC or HPLC detector to your personal computer. PC/Chrom reads the analog output signal from the detector, digitizes the signal, displays the chromatogram, and processes the data according to user specifications all the way to the final report style requested. In 2001 we released PC/Chrom+. This is a complete 32-bit rewrite of our earlier PC/Chrom for Windows™. PC/Chrom+ was developed according to our Quality Assurance Program.

In 1997 we released SLIM, Stability Laboratory Information Manager. SLIM is the result of a joint venture between H&A Scientific, Inc. and Metrics, Inc., a pharmaceutical development and testing laboratory. SLIM is the state-of-the-art software system for complete management of a drug stability program. From the design of stability study protocols to statistical analysis and presentation of final data for FDA submission, your stability data could not be better managed. SLIM is a 32-bit client-server application written in C++. The client software runs on Windows 95/98/NT 4.0/2000/XP/Vista. The server software is designed using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. SLIMStat+, the statistical package that ships with SLIM, calculates the product shelf-life. ANACOVA pooling of batches is supported. It also provides accelerated condition calculations using the Arrhenius equation. SLIMStat+ is also sold as a stand-alone application.

In 1998 we released the software for OPT-DISS, High Yield Fiber Optic UV-Vis Dissolution System. OPT-DISS is the result of a joint venture between H&A Scientific, Inc. and LEAP Technologies.

In 2001 we released IntelliFORM (Intelligent Fiber Optic Reaction Monitoring). IntelliFORM analyzes batch reactions to determine which reactions produce more product and have faster reaction rates.

In 2007 we released IntelliLIMS (Intelligent Laboratory Information Management System). IntelliLIMS is a state-of-the-art sample management system, designed for tracking samples within a laboratory environment. This software is designed from the ground up to meet the most demanding scalability and security requirements while continuing to be completely 21 CRF Part 11 compliant. Additionally, IntelliLIMS has been developed around the Microsoft .Net Framework, enabling wider support for network services, mobile devices, and multicultural features.

Historically, our products have been developed for use in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as academic laboratories. However, our plans are to expand the use of IntelliLIMS to other industries that require management of samples and testing.

In 2010 we were presented an EXPORT ACHIEVEMENT CERTIFICATE for recent accomplishments in the global marketplace by the United States Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service. Our products have been sold and implemented in over 20 countries throughout the world.
