OVERVIEW: The Intelligent LIMS to Manage Your Laboratory.

IntelliLIMS is a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The software was developed in accordance with FDA regulations and is therefore also suitable for use in the following industries:

Phase I (Core Product Module)
The Core Product Module of IntelliLIMS includes functionality to meet the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 as well as functionality in the following areas:
• Sample login
• Sample tracking, including barcode support
• Scheduling
• Chain of custody

Phase II (Premier Product Module)
The Premier Product Module of IntelliLIMS additionally includes functionality in the following areas:
• Result entry with audit trails
• Multi-level QA/QC/Specification checking
• Result Reporting
• Interface with PC/Chrom, our chromatography application

Software
IntelliLIMS is extremely flexible allowing access from multiple computers, and is implemented using the latest in .NET technology. IntelliLIMS run on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows Server 2003/2008. IntelliLIMS supports Windows 2003 Terminal Services using Windows authentication. Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 serves as a reliable database backend. Bar code writers and scanners are supported.

Security
• Windows Security can be selected for login and password authentication
• Microsoft SQL Server security can also be implemented
• Users can be assigned Individual Rights along with Group Rights
• Unauthorized system access attempts are detected


Workflow
• The workflow is configurable by the System Administrator
• When the status of an item changes, e.g., Sample, Transaction, or Testing, an e-mail notification can be sent


Sample Receipt / Logging in of Samples
• You are able to login a single Sample or multiple Samples using the Sample Login wizard
• IntelliLIMS assigns a unique identifier to the Sample(s). This unique identifier is referred to as the “Transaction Number”
• You are able to add a new Sample Description with an associated MSDS link while logging in new Samples
• You are able to select a heading in the Identification 1, Identification 2, and Identification 3 drop down menus and enter the corresponding identification in the text fields for each Sample
• You are able to print Barcode labels for the Samples and Transactions and specify the number of copies
• You are able to electronically send notification to the specified user(s) on the Notification List
• You are able to print a Sample Report for all Samples entered in the Login Sample wizard


Project Management
• Both short term and long term Projects are supported
• A Material may have zero, one, or more Monographs associated with that Material
• A Monograph may have zero, one, or more Test Categories associated with that Monograph
• A Scheduled Work Request (SWR) contains zero, one, or more Test Categories from a Monograph (or multiple Monographs)
• Test results can be entered for a Scheduled Test and are associated with the Sample(s) used to generate the results


Sample Management
• You are able to locate Transactions and their Samples by scanning barcodes
• You are also able to locate Transactions and their Samples by browsing a tree list view of Clients, which will be alphabetically sorted
• Other ways to locate Transactions and their Samples are also available
• You are able to Check-in and Check-out Samples
• You are able to extract (create) Subsamples from Samples with a separate chain of custody
• Multiple Stage numeric Test Rules are supported
• You can specify a list of acceptable text values for a text Test Field
• Three levels of specifications are available for each Test Field, i.e., Alert, Action, and Specification



21 CFR Part 11 Compliance
IntelliLIMS includes functionality to meet the Electronic Records and Electronic Signatures rules of 21 CFR Part 11 as they relate to "Closed" systems. IntelliLIMS has multiple levels of security including a time-out procedure and prompted password expiry. Each IntelliLIMS user can have different security rights. The full audit trail includes references to the date and time of the change, the user that made the change, the type of change made, and a description of the change.
